Biography

Jim graduated from the veterinary school at the University of California, Davis, completed an internship at the Ontario Veterinary College and an equine surgery resident and PhD program at the University of Missouri before joining UGA in 1981 as a faculty member in the Department of Large Animal Medicine. Throughout his teaching career, he worked closely with personnel in Educational Resources to develop materials he used in his classes as well a series of interactive 3D models and animations depicting abdominal diseases of horses. Consequently, he was excited to join Educational Resources as director to develop teaching materials for use in the veterinary curriculum as well as a series of online course for undergraduate and graduate students interested in pursuing careers in healthcare.
